Shocking News!

just a short post but i have some shocking news...I've not yet got a collared dove on my year list! help!

      dont worry, this minor glitch has been rectified, i have now seen a surfeit of collared doves!

    I'm not giving up hope... There is a wetland with bird hide a 10 minute cycle ride away!!! Check my collared doves now, there is 5 that I counted http://youtu.be/wjVxuuh_JnY

      here's a facinating thing - blackbirds with blackbeaks generaly originate from scandinavia, however from you being central(ish) europe i wonder why your birds have black beaks. is it a trait that occurs through-out europe? or are they all just first winter males?
